異国の街を歩く
Valletta, Sofia, Istanbul
久しぶりに海外出張の機会が訪れた。到着したホテルの窓から見える無彩色の建物や石畳は、無秩序に看板に埋め尽くされた東京の風景に慣れきってしまった私の目を静かに刺激した。
カメラを手に、仕事の合間に3つの都市の風景を切り取った。
以前も世界中を旅して様々な光景を目にしてきたが、コロナ禍が収束した後に訪れた異国の街は、新鮮でありながらも過去の記憶を呼び覚ますような、どこか懐かしさが混在する不思議な体験となった。

For the first time in a long while, business took me overseas. The view from my hotel window—muted buildings and stone pavements—quietly stimulated my eyes, which had become so accustomed to the chaotic, sign-cluttered landscape of Tokyo.
With camera in hand, I captured the scenery of these three cities in the moments between work.
I have traveled the world and witnessed many sights before, but visiting foreign streets after the pandemic was a unique experience. It was a strange blend of the fresh and the familiar, a new encounter that somehow awakened memories of the past.
